Families: the Richards Family

This family was a treat to spend time with. The Richards recently moved to our beautiful BC coast from the UK, where Tana and Tom met. 10 years ago, she was an American girl travelling through Europe, and she met a guy at a pub....

....and here we are today! Tana and Tom have three great kids and we had a fun time wandering around the beach, exploring the tidal pools, and climbing on the rocks. Welcome to the coast, Richards! It was lovely to spend time with you.

Families: the Ekkert Family

There a few things I loved about this shoot, the first of which was that it was a new location for me. Noel Booth Park is about a 5 minute drive from my home. I grew up playing softball in the fields in the front of the park. Somehow though, I totally missed these spots. Lucky for me, the Ekkert's re-introduced me to the wonderful space of Noel Booth Park.

The second thing I loved about this shoot were the fun people in the pictures! Never before have I heard the phrase, "Let's take a picture where it looks like dad is using the force to pick me up, like Darth Vader," while doing a photo shoot. FUN.

I loved it. Thanks for a fun evening :)

Fields & Flowers

At the beginning of May, I had the sweetest opportunity to join forces with the fun and talented Sarah Keegstra, owner and florist of Kaye Fleur. My friends, if you are looking for a florist, check this girl out. She is a hard-working lady who spreads joy as she walks.

Sarah had a vision to teach mothers, daughters, sisters and friends how to make flower crowns, in commemoration of Mother's Day. We spent a sunny afternoon pursuing this creative endeavor while in the beauty of a local Langley farm. What a fun adventure.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out and made this event possible! We loved spending time with you.

aaaaaaand the cool-cat Sarah Keegstra made me a flower crown too, so here I am, a rare sighting in one of my own photo shoots.

Thanks again everyone!
