Salt Spring Island

After our West Coast Trail adventure, we drove to Sooke for a few days, and then made our way to Salt Spring Island. Highlights include MAKING EYE CONTACT with a seal (best moment ever), watching a family of sea otters swim by, kayaking, paddle boarding, cycling, and drinking my fill of the coffees I had missed so much on the West Coast Trail...

We also celebrated our 2nd anniversary! We have been blessed with a great 2 years, and we look forward to whatever our next adventure may be. 

It was a fantastic trip, and we feel ready for the next year.

The West Coast Trail

Our adventure of the summer was a trip to Vancouver Island, and a 6-day-75km hike along the West Coast Trail. Since every pound counts when you are carrying it all on your back, we did the hike sans camera... but my iPhone stood in and did it's best in light of the camera absence. 

Some highlights were the suspension bridge, marine life (so many whales and sea lions!), and the beautiful beaches of the West Coast! We loved it. 

...and when we were done we ate the greatest pizza of our lives at the Coastal Kitchen Cafe. It was fabulous. 

The Everson Family

I was stoked when Katie suggested that we do their family shoot at Redwood park in Surrey, as it was a new location for me... and I love new locations. I admire Katie's creativity, and her taste overall so when we arrived at the photo destination I was not disappointed. A tree in the middle of a field? Yes. Yes, please. This family is FULL of laughter and kindness. This shoot was a blast.
