A Gathering of Friends

This past weekend I was able to witness something wonderful - the marriage of a beloved friend. I was honoured to stand beside her as a bridesmaid. Typically, I am taking pictures when I attend a wedding, so it was a fun to experience things from a different point-of-view. It was also a special occasion because we were able to reconnect with people who we don't get so see very often - and have a bit of an impromptu photo-sesh.

We asked someone to snap a picture of us too! Here we are.

These two lovely people are new roomies! AND, they are moving into the home that Adam and I lived in when we first got married.

Garibaldi

Our most recent adventure was to Garibaldi Park. We hiked to Taylor Meadows, set up camp, and hiked the rest of the way up to Black Tusk. Adam actually climbed to the top of the Tusk - I was not so brave.

The second day we tackled Panorama Ridge. Adam had read online that you should bring a sled, so we had a rolled-up crazy carpet. I HIGHLY recommend bringing one along if you do this trip! We probably saved 30 minutes of hiking time, and we sledded instead. It was one of the highlights for me. I now know that I love sledding. Love it.

The Third day we packed up camp at Taylor Meadows, and hiked to Garibaldi Lake for a quick swim before our descent back to the parking lot.

Weddings: Charlene & Adam

When Charlene & Adam told me the story of how they met, it felt like something from a movie. He saw her from a distance, and fell inlove. I love stories like that :)

Their wedding was a joyful occasion full of family, friendship, poetry, art, beautiful cars, and happy people.  We loved being part of it.

Adam's artwork was recently published in a book called We Make Stuff. The book features 100 artists and innovators in Vancouver and is beautiful to flip through. Check the book out here. :)
